When I was young at the Barn by Shannon

When I was young at the barn I would snuggle my face against Locke's soft winter coat and give him a big hug.

When I was young at the barn I would feel the rough mane and tail against his soft body.

When I was young at the barn I would get a well-deserved lollipop and a nice cup of hot cocoa after a long cold lesson.

When I was young at the barn I would walk in and smell the puzzling face smell of manure.

When I was young at the barn i would go and get the saddle off the rack. I see all the different unique saddle covers.

When I was young at the barn I would smell all the different types of grains.

When I was young at the barn I would hear the thundering hoofs slamming the ground.

When I was young at the barn I would not go to China, not Paris, not Florida. Just the BARN.

Horses by Madelyn B.

I love these beautiful, wonderful horses

We can ride them and do dressage courses

Let's go and put on their tack

So we can go for a morning hack

Before we leave feed the horses their hay

'Cause if you don't they're sure to neigh

We're going to have so much fun

Our horses, you and me in the sun

Feel that cool breeze in the air

Remember though to put up your hair

Be careful of the animals that may be hiding

So Let's Go Riding!!!
